5-24-08 GRANNY'S NEW RIDE....

Some of the racers surprised Granny and built her a stock racing truck! I would name names but I don't want to leave anyone out because I know it was a group project. So thanks to all of those involved! Below is the video link. Granny had no idea this was in the works and it was a total surprise, as you can see in the video, that she had a new racing truck! And that she was racing at Hamilton! Unfortunately it was raining so hard that by the time she raced, my video camera was no longer working to capture it.

5-24-08 OUTLAW FAST TRACK: IN WINFIELD, KANSAS AUGUST 2, 2008

Winfield, Kansas Outlaw Fast Track. August 2, 2008. Start time will be in the afternoon. Dusty will post more details soon. How about two events in one day? August 2, 2008 is also the Stompers4x4 Bog in Kansas City, Kansas during the fair! Dusty and I have been talking about this one for a while as both towns need the same date. But truly the Fast Track racers coming to Winfield (south of Wichita) and the Bog racers coming to Kansas City are not really going to conflict with one another so now pressure for everyone to be two places at once. gonna be the old combo event drag and bog- in an awesome setting- right by the pomme de terre river in a town called goodnite,mo between highways 13 and 65 and close to springfield,mo and bolivar. the area has river bottoms flat and great soil for drag and for mixing up a bog- shutdown is like 2 miles long and has a natural hillside we are going to use as seating. plenty of room to camp- and can you imagine the echo of fasttimes engine or perkins boys in this setting. will post some pics soon- gonna try for july 4 th or close to it. this will be in conjunction with the cut-n-quick and unpredictable team and of course james woolman will be on hand to help out- we have all seen these guys travel alot to the norht so hopefully alot of you will come down south to play. trust me - this will be the nicest and prettiest outdoor place you will race at!! trying to gage who might be interested. 816-935-5794 or email Scott at stomperscott@kc.rr.com

5-4-2008 FAST TRACK AND SIDE X SIDE EVENTS

I know some of the venues Stompers4x4 has this year just is not suitable to have an added fast track. Keep in mind the Stompers4x4 event in Kearney, Missouri in September 2008 will have a fast track actually added this year.

But fast track fans, we have not forgotten about you. Dusty and I have been working on some XMRO Events and some Outlaw Events that will have a fast track and some with Side X Side. They will be announced as we have the final approvals on them. So keep visiting here and bookmark the sites and http://www.outlawmud.com and http://www.xmro.net as I would not have web sites for them if we did not have something in the works!

BOG AND FAST TRACK EVENT!

5-4-2008 OUTLAWS AND STOMPERS4X4

I know the terms are going to get thrown around a lot the is season - we are doing more events than we have attempted in the past! Stompers4x4 events consists of the Stompers4x4 crew running the events with the kind and generous help of a lot of other venue staff and racer help. Operations have just become to big to do it any other way. Unfortunately, and yet fortunately, in this economy, every staff member averages more than 40 hours a week at there day job. Which limits the amount of events we can do in a season. Due to the quality of what the Staff and the quality of all those that pitch in to make the shows happen, we have more venues asking about having us do a show. So....Dusty and I decided to start seeing, if with the help of all friends out their, that want to see more mud, if we could add to our venue list. Hence, Outlaw Mud.

So far, so good. Dusty and Granny headed to Oklahoma twice already this season and with the help of many great volunteers, put on two great shows. So that is the secret.......for Outlaw Mud, we need a lot more racers to stand up and pitch in. It will effect just how far Outlaw Mud can grow.....and since we are Stompers4x4 to the end, we consider the events part of the Stompers4x4 family. Same great spirit of racing.

The rules are a little different from Stompers. So far, they are Granny's Rules called Outlaw Mud Rules - but have the flexibility as we go into different areas to add classes and make adjustments that will be announced. The general stock class is a little more run what you brung, but that limits the amount of time spent teching for a smaller staff and greatly reduces protests of people and stopping the show.

You may have heard the radio ads - 100.7 KMZU has been playing. Will they will have a radio remote for a few hours at the event and they will be interviewing drivers! Come on out! Thanks to the great people of Hamilton for all the support and time they are investing in an event for everyone to come and race! Lets help them raise some funds for the new fairgrounds.....and mud racing gets to be the first events on the grounds!

REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN FROM 11AM TO 4PM. ANY ENTRIES AFTER 4PM WILL BE LATE ENTRY(LATE ENTRY IS DOUBLE FEE FOR ALL CLASSES). RACE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 5PM.

1)ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL PROPERTY.

2)ALL DRIVERS AND RIDERS MUST SIGN A RELEASE FORM.

3)ALL BATTERIES AND RADIATORS MUST BE SECURELY FASTENED DOWN AND SHIELDED FROM DRIVER/RIDERS IF IN THE DRIVERS COMPARTMENT.

4)NO CARELESS OR FAST DRIVING IN THE PIT AREA OR THE RETURN LANE. PLEASE BE PROFESSIONAL IN YOUR OPERATION OF YOUR RACER AND NOT HARM THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THERE TO SUPPORT YOUR SPORT..

8)NO EXCESSIVE DRINKING(WE WANT EVERYONE TO HAVE FUN AT GRANNYS BUT PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE. WE HAVE MANY FAMILIES AND LITTLE ONES AT OUR EVENTS AND WE WANT TO MAINTAIN A FUN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL TO ATTEND.

9)PROTESTS- PROTESTS WILL ONLY BE MADE BY DRIVERS IN THAT PARTICULAR CLASS. A $50 FEE WILL BE PUT UP FIRST TO EVEN SPEAK YOUR CASE WHICH WILL BE HEARD BY THE TRACK OFFICIAL AND THE PROTESTING PARTY. AFTER THE TRUCK IN QUESTION MAKES ITS RUN THEN IT WILL BE INSPECTED FOR THE INFRACTION BY THE DRIVER/PROTESTER AND THE TRACK OFFICIALS ONLY. IF FOUND TO BE ILLEGAL THE FEE WILL BE RETURNED TO THE PROTESTER AND PROTESTED VEHICLES FORFEITS HIS RUN. IF NO INFRACTION IS FOUND THE FEE GOES TO THE WINNER OF THE CLASS PROTEST WAS MADE IN.

10) IF TIMING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS FOR ANY REASON, THAT RUN WILL RESTARTED AND DRIVER WILL BE GIVEN A 5 MINUTE COOL DOWN PERIOD. NO OTHER RUNS WILL BE MADE UNTIL THE RESTART IS DONE.+

11)MEASURING WILL BE MADE FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT CENTER HUB. ONCE FORWARD PROGRESS HAS ENDED AND YOU ARE FLAGGED YOU MUST STOP! OR BE DISQUALIFIED. IF YOU CONTINUE TO MOVE OR TRY TO BACK UP YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

12)TRUCKS COMING OUT OF THE PIT WILL RECEIVE THE DISTANCE AT WHICH THE TRUCK LEFT THE PIT BUT WILL NOT BE DISQUALIFIED.

13) ALL VEHICLES CLEARING THE PIT WILL COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN A REASONABLE DISTANCE AND CHECK WITH RED FLAGGER TO BE CLEARED TO GO TO THE RETURN LANE.

14)TROPHIES WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TOP 3 FINISHERS IN EACH CLASS AND ALL PRIZE MONIES WILL BE PAID TO THE TOP THREE IN EACH CLASS 50-30-20. ENTRY FEE IS $20 PER CLASS.(EXCEPT FOR WOMENS CLASSES WILL HAVE NO TROPHIES,JUST PAYBACK OF ENTRY FEES)

All rules will remain the same except in the MODIFIED Class. Motor can be set back to where the harmonic balancer is centered on front axle.

The open class will be changed to a unlimited class. This will let rails or anything you bring run in this class. ALL SAFETY RULES STILL APPLY.

The fast track will be limited to the Super stock, Mod. & unlimited classes.

Plan on making 2 passes depending on weather & number of trucks.

We going back to points system in all classes. To be eligible for the points race on 9 /13 you will have to participate at least 75% of the SSMRA races.

All trucks will be checked for safety. After trucks are entered in class or classes ,each of the first 3 classes 1 truck number will be drawn to have a cubic inch test done on them.This will be done every race. This way only 3 trucks will have to be checked for cubic inch.The same truck could be drawn to be checked every week

Membership dues will be $20 to help pay for web site and money to be added to the points race on 9/13 at Chillicothe. At this race everyone can run , but only members that qualify will be eligible for the points money to be divided the way they placed in the points.

Mark your calendars for May 30st - Dusty is working with a new group of Tractor Pullers and they will be putting on a show in Urich, Missouri. Yes, I said Tractor Pull....but I thought you all might be interested to come and check it out. 4-6-08 NEW VENUE: ATCHISON FAIR EVENT: STOMPERS4X4 IN EFFINGHAM, KANSAS JULY 26, 2008

4-6-08 STOMPERS4X4 AND OUTAW MUD

2008 is shaping up to be the busiest racing season yet! So I hope you can all come out and join us and watch and participate in the shows. We will be throwing out the terms Stompers4x4 and Outlaw Mud out a lot this season. The Stompers4x4 staff is made up of people that all have full time jobs and work a lot of overtime….if not just multiple jobs. This limits the time and traveling capacity of everyone in our core group. And we are getting more offers than the core group has time to schedule. This is where Dusty and I have been working with various venues for “Outlaw Mud” events. We are going to be more dependent on the racers for help to make these extra shows happen. The rules will have some slight modifications/class set-ups from Stompers4x4 rules simply because of the new locales we are in with established events. So stay tuned and keep visiting the Stompers4x4 site for News and Updates!

4-6-08 SIDE X SIDE IN THE WORKS

Dusty and I are following up with some towns about doing some Side X Side racing events. These will be independent side x side drag racing that appeals to a lot of racers out there. If we have a good turnout at Hamilton for the Fast Track and Bog, we have the chance to put on a second event this season with Side X Side only. There are also other Side X Side venues in the works. A lot of Stompers venues we are doing this year only want a bog race. So we did not want you Drag Racing/Side X Side fans to think we have forgotten about you. We are simply working on even more events than ever before! Contact Dusty at 816-935-5794 if you know someone that would like a Side X Side race in their town!

4-6-08 BORDER WAR 2008

Working on another Stompers4x4 event that we are going to continue to the Border War series at least with Kansas and Missouri with all the other states welcome as well. Hope to have more info soon. Tried to hook up with some other organizations last year to make it a series but it just did not work out last season. But the Border War might just be back in 2008. Should have more info soon.

4-6-08 GRANNY'S MUD RUN - NO EVENTS IN URICH, MISSOURI IN 2008

we will not be doing any events at grannys mud run this season. we have decided it is best to take some time to relax and go do some racing ourselves and also our growing schedule with other races make it hard to devote the time we feel we need to do "our race" plus the growing strain on the family as some of our family members battle health issues(granny,jon, lisa) we have enjoyed serving the racers and providing a top notch race for fans and racers. we truly had the times of our lives there and made many friends. with that we say thanks to all who came to race with us or supported us in many kind ways and to all who pitched in to help pull off the 'GREATEST SHOW ON DIRT= GRANNYS MUD RUN- the grannys crew says thanks a bunch. see you at the races!

3-23-08 PROGRAM RECOMMENDED FOR VIEW FLASH VIDEO FILES.

A lot of videos pending upload are in a .flv flash format. This maximizes the amount of video that I can post at one time. But finding a good program to view the files can be a hassle. I recommend this latest version of a program you can download below.

Please note, I did not create this program and cannot resolve any personal pc issues that result. I just know it works good for viewing on any pc that I have used. Simply download a video with a .flv extentions and drag and drop that video on this program (shortcut or your desktop). Download is below.
